    When can my child start?

    • Your child can start as soon as they turn two. However, we advise putting your child’s name down on the waiting list a term in advance to secure a place.

    • We do operate a waiting list. We can add your child’s name to our waiting list at any time. We advise that you contact us at least a term in advance.

    • Yes, we offer all children a settling in session. This is a chance for you to attend with your child so they can familiarise themselves with the setting. You will also get the chance to speak to your child’s key worker and we use this visit to find out about your child and their likes/dislikes and other important information. We understand that all children are individuals, and some may find it harder than others at first, so further settling in sessions can be arranged if needed.

    • Yes, we offer funded places for three and four year olds and some two year olds. Please see our fees and funding page for more information.

    • Invoices are issued during the first week of each new term. You will need to pay for the full term.

    • If your child is staying all day then you will need to provide a packed lunch. We encourage healthy eating so a balanced lunch including healthy, nutritious options is preferred. Please see our healthy eating page for more information.

    • Yes they can. Please ensure it has your child’s name on it.

    • No, your child does not need to be potty trained before they start at Playgroup.

    • We adhere to the Early Years Foundation stage staff to child ratios. We will always have at least 1 member of staff to 4 children for 2 year olds and 1 member of staff to 8 children for 3 and 4 year olds.
